Moving

OMG we leave in 8 days and there's so much to get done! My home is for sale, so I have to constantly keep everything clean and put away and be out of the house when I have showings. Not that I'm complaining about having showings, I'm just running out of time to get things done. Anyway, since we had to be out of the house for a showing tonight we had dinner at my brother's house. Being so far away from my brother is what I'm going to miss the most when we move :(

10 Months

Month #10 has arrived. Even though I love each new stage in her life and can't wait to see what she will do next, I miss the itty bitty baby I brought home just ten short months ago. It's funny how watching her grow can make me incredibly happy and sad all at the same time. She is growing up way too fast!!

It's so fun seeing her personality developing. She loves to feed herself, her ability to pick up food and feed herself is so exciting for her. She’s hasn’t had any teeth come through yet.

She's basically a chill and content baby. Although she does get grumpy when she's been up too long, and when it is time to eat you have to get her food right away or else she screams. She's going through a phase (I hope) at bedtime, I can't just lie her down and she falls asleep, she wants to be rocked and fall asleep in my arms. I can't complain because once she is asleep I put her in her crib and she sleeps through the night. What else can I say. She is precious and I love her more than life itself!

Mother's Day

This day, as with every day, I miss my mom and my boys. Not a day goes by that I don’t have the urge to pick up the phone and call my mom. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of them and wish they were here. I was extremely close with my Mom and I hope that Serena and I will share that special relationship.

My friend Martha was over and we were talking, and Serena was on the floor next to us playing when she looked up at me and clear as a bell said "Mom." I just about fell over! Martha looked at me and was like OMG she just said Mom, she is so smart! I thought I was hallucinating but I have a witness!

I had all these ideas of things to do on sunday but unfortunately I have a bad cold so we just stayed home. I’m looking forward to the pre-school years when she proudly presents me with gifts she made in class. Anyway, we were invited to our friends house for dinner, so we did eventually get out of the house. :)  This was the first time we've seen them since I announced that we're moving and they were so sweet.  They said that they were sad that they were going to miss us, miss her growing up, and learning to walk and talk. I'm going to miss them too, they are great people and super supportive friends. I hope they will come visit us in illinois!

Hello Kitty

In moving news, the condo is officially for sale! I've been working like crazy to get it cleaned up for pictures for the listing. Only 21 days until we move to Illinois!!
